This role is critical to Pixel's growth and retention strategy, ensuring that Pixel users can discover and engage with the latest and greatest Pixel Features.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and drive the strategy for the ingestion, processing, and delivery of video on demand (VOD) content for YouTube TV, Primetime Channels, and other video on demand products. Ensure scalable systems influence emerging technical standards.
  • Design and oversee scaled support models. Define the resourcing strategy, operational Service Level Agreement (SLA), and workflows for our global extended workforce (vendor) teams to ensure a seamless experience for SVOD partners and viewers.
  • Lead the evolution of content quality issue queues. Drive root-cause analysis for systemic partner and platform escalations and influence product and engineering road maps to eliminate recurring errors.
  • Lead the front-lines of technical and operational on-boarding for YouTube's most complex and strategic media partners. Represent YouTube's operational interests during partner negotiations, identifying risks and establishing sustainable technical requirements before agreements are finalized.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in a technical project management or a customer-facing role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience designing global operational models and integrating advanced technologies (e.g., AI, machine learning, complex automation) to enhance workflows and scale extended workforce (vendor) operations.
  • Expertise in TV or digital streaming video technologies, including VOD delivery, OTT architectures, XML schema, metadata optimization, and content supply chains.
  • Ability to balance multiple strategic timelines and high-profile media partners to drive complex project execution.
  • Excellent SQL skills and analytical capability to identify systemic patterns, build the operational benchmarks, and extract insights.
