Platform Operations Engineer

Looking for an Infrastructure Operations Engineer to support and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments. You will work with internal teams and vendors to ensure infrastructure services are secure, stable, and highly available.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations of infrastructure platforms.

• Monitor and maintain compute, virtualisation, storage, backup, operating systems, and disaster recovery (DR) environments.

• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve incidents and service requests.

• Perform incident investigation, root cause analysis, and issue resolution.

• Review infrastructure changes and ensure compliance with operational and security standards.

• Support infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and technology refresh projects.

• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.

• At least 5 years' experience in infrastructure operations or platform support.

• Experience supporting production or mission-critical environments.

• Knowledge of VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, Windows Server, or Red Hat Linux.

• Familiarity with storage, backup, networking, disaster recovery, and hybrid cloud environments (AWS or Azure).

• Experience with automation tools, scripting, Docker, Kubernetes, or Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is an advantage.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Government sector experience and relevant certifications (ITIL, VCP, RHCE, AWS, Azure) are advantageous.
