App & Technology Partnerships @ Shopify
Join the App and Technology Partnerships team at Shopify and help shape the ecosystem that powers commerce for millions of merchants worldwide. You'll build and own relationships with leading technology companies — from the apps that run day-to-day merchant operations to the large ISVs that help enterprise brands choose Shopify.
Working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Finance, you'll drive high-impact integrations and commercial partnerships that make Shopify more powerful for every merchant.
This role drives Shopify's GTM strategy for Technology Partners — partnering with software and platform companies to build joint go-to-market strategy and full funnel partner-led activations. You'll work with the most exciting Technology partners and platforms across commerce that extend Shopify foundations and unlock value for merchants. You'll build co-sell programs, opportunities to connect partners and Shopify teams, and commercial models that help partners and Shopify win together.
The ideal person knows how to stand up a repeatable co-sell engine and bring software partners to the table in a way that compounds merchant value over time.
This role is for you if… you've built GTM or co-sell motions with software and platform partners, you think in repeatable systems rather than one-off deals, and you're energized by turning partner relationships into measurable pipeline, merchant adoption, and enterprise growth.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain a thriving partner ecosystem through community and executive events.
Assess and recommend partners to Shopify merchants, through GTM activations, based on merchant impact, product-market fit, market leadership, product alignment, and go-to-market impact.
Build and steward senior, often executive-level, commercial relationships with leading technology companies.
Collaborate with partners to understand merchant use cases, and the merchant value unlocked through partner integrations.
Develop clear paths to articulating merchant value through GTM motions.
Develop clear GTM motions and strategies to maximise technology partner contribution to the sales pipeline.
Negotiate GTM commitments and commercial incentives with senior external stakeholders.
Lead cross-functional execution across Agency partnerships, Partner Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Revenue Operations, as well as Partnerships
Qualifications
Exceptional internal and external executive stakeholder communication skills.
Experience building and leading GTM for partnerships in commerce, technology, or SaaS - with a clear track record.
Deep understanding of the commerce, SaaS, and technology landscape.
Strong understanding of software product integrations and platform APIs.
Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders; and operate with significant autonomy in a fast-moving, remote environment.
Existing relationships with senior leaders across the ecommerce, marketplace, and SaaS ecosystem.
