Software Engineer - Java

Job Description ·      We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer – Java Developer to join our development team. ·      The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise applications while ensuring software quality, adherence to coding standards, and timely project delivery. ·       This role offers the opportunity to work with modern Java technologies, reporting solutions, and enterprise databases in a customer-facing environment. Key Responsibilities ·      Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into high-quality program code. Develop, maintain, and enhance Java-based enterprise applications. ·      Ensure compliance with programming standards, coding best practices, and security guidelines. ·      Perform configuration management, including planning, control, and documentation updates. ·      Develop and execute unit tests to ensure software quality and reliability. ·      Support integration testing, system testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production deployments. ·      Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects and production issues. ·      Perform application enhancements and system maintenance activities. Prepare and maintain technical and system documentation. ·      Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable software solutions. Required Qualifications ·      Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline. ·      1–4 years of experience in software development and application delivery. ·      Hands-on experience with Java and related technologies. ·      Experience in application development, system maintenance, and troubleshooting. ·      Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. ·      Good written and verbal communication skills in English. ·      Willingness to work at customer sites when required. ·      Preferred Technical Skills Experience with Spring Boot and Spring Batch. ·      Experience with React for frontend development. Experience with JasperReports for enterprise reporting. ·      Hands-on experience with Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server databases. ·      Familiarity with enterprise application architecture and RESTful services is an advantage. ·      Preferred Attributes Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong sense of ownership. ·      Strong commitment to delivering quality solutions within project timelines. ·      Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. ·      Customer-focused with a strong service orientation. ·      Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. ·      Preferred Certification Oracle Certified Professional (Java) certification is an added advantage.
