Senior Application Support Engineer (COBOL/DB2) – 24/7 & Weekend Support_(Contract)

Job Description

• Develop, enhance, maintain, and support mission-critical enterprise applications.

• Provide production support, incident investigation, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex system issues.

• Design and implement batch processing solutions, data fixes, reports, and application enhancements.

• Collaborate with business users, developers, testers, and infrastructure teams to deliver system changes and projects.

• Support SIT, UAT, regression testing, deployment activities, and post-implementation monitoring.

• Participate in DevOps activities, release management, performance monitoring, and process automation.

• Ensure application stability, system performance, and compliance with business and technical requirements.

Requirement:

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.

• 8+ years of experience in software development, application enhancement, maintenance, and production support.

• Strong experience with COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, VSAM, SQL, and mainframe technologies.

• Experience supporting banking, treasury, financial services, government, or enterprise applications.

• Knowledge of MQ, Kafka, API/Web Services, DevOps practices, and deployment management is an advantage.

• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills.
