Applications Engineer (RF Power / VHDL / Semiconductor)

The Company Our Client is a global leader in designing and manufacturinghighly engineered, precision power conversion and control systems. For over 40years, their cutting-edge technologies have powered mission-criticalsemiconductor manufacturing tools worldwide. They provide deep technicalapplication engineering and support to major semiconductor chipmakers acrossthe region. Key Responsibilities:

• Connect, operate, and troubleshoot high-power, high-voltage electrical equipment across lab environments and cleanrooms.

• Drive measurement, data acquisition, and statistical process analysis (SPC) using digital tools like Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW to derive clear physical performance conclusions.

• Utilize VHDL environments to customize or update embedded logic configurations within RF generators and matching networks, adapting power parameters to highly volatile plasma conditions.

• Work closely with local and international sales, marketing, and product development units to provide consultative support and map complex customer requirements into design wins.

• Travel locally and internationally (~10-15%) to diagnose complex site integration issues and safely handle high-energy electrical components directly at client manufacturing plants.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering, or Applied Physics.

• Possess functional knowledge of VHDL for hardware description logic programming.

• Minimum 1 to 2 years of hands-on technical experience within a semiconductor manufacturing or high-power electronics test environment.

• Practical experience utilizing electrical test instrumentation, including digital oscilloscopes, DVMs, LCR meters, and vacuum equipment components (pumps, valves, pressure gauges).

• Foundational knowledge of Data Analysis techniques including Statistical Process Control (SPC), data trending, and Design of Experiments (DOE).
