Business Analyst (Trade Finance products / Swift Messaging / BRD / FRD)
Job Description
Maltem Singapore is currently seeking a Business Analyst for an i-Banking Client. Key Responsibilities: • Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into functional specifications (BRD/FRD). • Work closely with Trade Finance Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and IT teams to deliver system enhancements. • Analyze current workflows and design optimized digital solutions for Bank Guarantee issuance processes. • Support SWIFT messaging integrations including MT760, MT767, and MT768 standards. • Drive Agile delivery activities, coordinate with Scrum teams, track project progress, and manage stakeholder communication. • Lead SIT/UAT planning, test execution, defect management, and production implementation activities. • Ensure solutions align with trade regulations, compliance standards, and business objectives. Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong Business Analyst experience within Banking / Financial Services
- Hands-on experience in Trade Finance products – Bank Guarantees, SBLCs, Bonds
- Knowledge of SWIFT messaging and ICC standards (URDG 758, UCP 600)
- Experience preparing BRD, FRD, user stories, process flows, and functional documentation
- Good understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and project delivery lifecycle
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Visio, LucidChart, or similar BA tools
- SQL knowledge for data analysis and validation
Good to Have:
- Trade Finance platforms experience (Finastra, Temenos, Misys or similar)
- CDCS / CSDG certifications
