Role Overview

We are seeking a Technical Supervision Engineer to oversee the technical readiness, maintenance, and operational performance of vessels supporting Neptune’s robotics deployments. This role ensures vessels and onboard systems meet safety, compliance, and performance standards, while coordinating with engineering and operations teams to support underwater robotics missions.

Responsibilities

Vessel Technical Oversight

  • Supervise vessel operations and ensure compliance with marine engineering standards.
  • Monitor vessel systems (engines, cooling, electrical, hydraulics) to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of vessel equipment.

Operational Support

  • Coordinate vessel readiness for ROV hull cleaning and inspection missions.
  • Liaise with robotics engineers to integrate vessel systems with Neptune’s robotics platforms.
  • Ensure proper documentation of vessel operations, incidents, and maintenance reports.

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce safety protocols and environmental standards during vessel operations.
  • Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and classification society requirements.
  • Train crew on technical procedures and safety practices.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify technical gaps and propose improvements to vessel systems.
  • Support integration of new technologies into vessel operations
  • Contribute to Neptune’s commitment to sustainability and innovation in maritime robotics.

Requirement:

  • Diploma in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in vessel technical supervision, marine engineering, or offshore operations.
  • Strong knowledge of vessel systems (propulsion, hydraulics, electrical, cooling).
  • Familiarity with ROV operations, robotics integration, or underwater systems preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
