Data Centre Operations Engineer_Contract

Responsibilities

• Manage Data Centre availability, uptime, and physical access control.

• Oversee Data Centre space, power, rack, and IT asset inventories.

• Coordinate structured cabling, infrastructure installations, and retrofitting projects.

• Monitor Data Centre operations, respond to incidents, and support maintenance activities.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and operational standards.

• Prepare capacity and utilization reports for racks and cabling infrastructure.

• Provide 24x7 standby support and travel to Data Centre sites when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 3 to 6 years of experience in Data Centre Operations or Infrastructure Support.

Key Skills

• Strong knowledge of Data Centre infrastructure, servers, storage, and networking.

• Experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, incident management, and change control.

• Knowledge of structured cabling, security compliance, and maintenance processes.

• Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP) preferred.

• Willingness to support after-hours, on-call, and weekend activities.
