Finance Manager (SEA)
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager (SEA) to oversee the financial operations of our client in the logistics & supply chain industry. Reporting to the CFO and based in Singapore, this position serves as a trusted advisor to the regional leadership team, providing financial direction that supports commercial objectives and sustainable growth & requires someone with a strong stakeholder management experience. The ideal candidate combines strong technical finance expertise with commercial acumen and enjoys working in a dynamic, multinational environment. This role offers the opportunity to influence strategic decision-making, strengthen financial governance, and drive continuous improvements across the finance function. Responsibilities: Finance Leadership & Business Partnership
- Act as the primary finance partner to regional business leaders, providing insights that support strategic planning and operational decision-making.
- Evaluate business performance through financial modelling, forecasting, and scenario analysis to identify growth opportunities and potential risks.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve profitability, enhance operational efficiency, and support long-term business objectives.
- Translate financial data into meaningful recommendations for senior management.
Financial Operations & Governance
- Lead the finance and accounting activities across Southeast Asia
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with Group policies and local statutory requirements.
- Oversee the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, cash flow management, and financial planning activities.
- Maintain a strong internal control framework while ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
Cash Flow & Working Capital
- Monitor the effectiveness of accounts receivable and accounts payable processes to ensure healthy cash flow and operational efficiency.
- Drive initiatives to improve cash conversion, optimise working capital, and monitor key performance indicators such as collection cycles and payment terms.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen liquidity management across the cluster.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop finance teams across multiple countries, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven culture.
- Coach and mentor team members to build technical capability and leadership potential.
- Promote accountability, continuous learning, and a strong business partnering mindset within the finance function.
Process Improvement & Transformation
- Champion finance transformation projects, including process optimisation, digitalisation, and system enhancements.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, standardise financial processes, and improve reporting efficiency.
- Support regional expansion, business integrations, and other strategic initiatives as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent) is advantageous.
- Approximately 8–12 years of progressive finance experience, including regional responsibilities within Southeast Asia.
- Solid knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, statutory compliance, and internal controls.
- Prior experience within logistics, transportation, supply chain, or another operationally intensive multinational business.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders through commercial and financial insights.
- Strong people management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience leading finance transformation, ERP implementation, or business process improvement initiatives is an advantage.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving organisation with a hands-on approach.
- Willingness to travel within the region when required.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership.
