IT Business Analyst (Banking)

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, validate, and document business requirements.

• Conduct workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions to identify business needs and improvement opportunities.

• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for development teams.

• Analyze existing business processes and recommend process optimization and automation initiatives.

• Collaborate with project managers, solution architects, developers, QA teams, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.

• Support solution design by ensuring proposed solutions align with business objectives and operational requirements.

• Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, defect management, and business sign-off.

• Manage requirement changes, assess project impacts, and maintain traceability throughout implementation.

• Prepare business cases, process documentation, reports, and project documentation.

• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and support issue resolution to ensure successful delivery.

• Drive stakeholder engagement and change management activities to support solution adoption.

• Mentor junior business analysts and promote best practices in business analysis.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of Business Analysis experience delivering technology or digital transformation projects.

• Strong experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, and documentation.

• Proven experience working across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.

• Experience facilitating workshops with senior business stakeholders and managing cross-functional teams.

• Strong knowledge of business process modelling (BPMN), workflow analysis, and process improvement methodologies.

• Experience writing business requirements documents (BRD), functional specifications (FSD), user stories, and process flows.

• Hands-on experience supporting UAT planning, execution, and defect resolution.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.

• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence business and technical teams.

• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, Microsoft Office, and project collaboration platforms.

• Relevant certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, Agile Business Analyst, or Scrum certifications are advantageous.
