Finance Manager | West
Job Description
Our client is a regional supply chain and trading company headquartered in Singapore, specialising in global sourcing, logistics, and distribution for the wire and cable industry. As the business continues to expand across Singapore and the United States, they are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to oversee finance operations, strengthen financial controls, and partner with the Managing Director in driving business performance. Working Hours: Monday to Friday (Flexible)
- 8:00am – 5:00pm
- 8:30am – 5:30pm
- 9:00am – 6:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions for the Singapore entity while coordinating finance activities for the US operations.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial analysis.
- Oversee treasury, accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and working capital management.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and commercial decision-making.
- Manage landed costing, inventory accounting, and financial support for international trading and supply chain operations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, tax regulations, and internal controls.
- Coordinate audits, payroll, CPF, tax filings, and corporate compliance matters.
- Partner closely with the Managing Director and collaborate with the China shared services team to improve finance processes and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing a full set of accounts.
- Hands-on experience supporting both Singapore and US finance operations is essential.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SOX compliance, and Singapore statutory and tax requirements.
- Experience in trading, import/export, distribution, or supply chain businesses is highly preferred.
- Experience with multi-currency accounting, inventory accounting, and landed costing is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced SME environment while collaborating with overseas shared service teams.
- Willing to travel to China during the initial onboarding period (approximately one week per trip) and thereafter on an annual basis.
