Cloud Platform Engineer (AMK)

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain secure cloud platforms, including dependency updates, security fixes, access controls, system monitoring and performance optimisation.

• Implement and support WMO WIS 2.0 and SWIM data-sharing standards.

• Ensure data services and pipelines meet the required technical standards.

• Develop new data service capabilities and integrate additional data sources.

• Improve platform performance and scalability to support growing infrastructure needs.

• Maintain system architecture documents, API references, operational runbooks and change records.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in cloud platform engineering, systems integration, middleware or aviation systems.

• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud, IT security, networking and Red Hat operating systems.

• Experience in designing and implementing scalable cloud-based solutions for data exchange and messaging platforms.

• Familiar with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, Transfer Family and VPC endpoints.

• Knowledge of Pub/Sub messaging systems, MQTT, AMQP, APIs, Java, Python, Node.js, Terraform, JSON, XML, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, OpenAPI and YAML.

• Experience with Solace PubSub+ and AWS Inspector will be an advantage.

• Relevant Azure, AWS or Red Hat certifications will be an advantage.

• Experience in Aviation Systems Engineering, Systems Integration Engineering or Middleware Engineering with cloud exposure will be an advantage
