Post-Fixture / Trade Settlements Accountant 1-Year Contract (Convertible to Permanent) | Singapore | Global Energy Trading About the Role Join the settlements team of a major international energy trading house, managing the financial back-end of physical cargo transactions from contract to cash. You'll work closely with Operations and Treasury to keep trade data accurate, payments moving, and month-end numbers clean — in a fast-paced, high-volume trading environment where no two days (or cargoes) look the same. This is a great fit for professionals with a post-fixture, shipping accounts, or trade settlement background who are comfortable reconciling invoices against contracts, chasing documentation, and working to tight, deal-driven timelines. What You'll Do

• Manage receivables and payables across physical product trading transactions

• Review trade and sale/purchase contracts for accuracy against operational data

• Coordinate closely with Operations to verify shipment and cargo information

• Process and follow up on payment approvals, including cargo and direct expenses

• Keep trade records current for month-end accounts closing

• Support Treasury with receivables/payables data for cashflow forecasting

• Pick up Letter of Credit processes (issuance and negotiation) on the job — this is a growth area of the role, and full training is provided

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Commerce, or Maritime Studies (or equivalent)

• 3+ years' experience in trade settlements, post-fixture accounts, shipping accounting, payments, or invoicing

• Comfortable working across multiple systems, platforms, and internal stakeholders

• Sharp attention to detail and strong ownership of accuracy under time pressure

• Able to quickly pick up new commercial and industry concepts

• No prior LC experience needed — we're happy to train the right candidate
