Senior Oracle Database Migration Engineer

We are seeking a highly accomplished Senior Oracle Database Migration Engineer to lead the design and execution of complex, enterprise-scale Oracle database transformation initiatives across mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of Oracle database migration projects with minimal downtime.

• Design migration strategies for complex Oracle RAC and standalone database environments.

• Install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot Oracle RAC, Grid Infrastructure, ASM, and Clusterware.

• Perform Oracle database upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.

• Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions using Oracle Data Guard.

• Execute database migration methodologies, including physical, logical, cross-platform, and cloud migrations.

• Configure and maintain RMAN backup and recovery solutions.

• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize Oracle environments.

• Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning for mission-critical databases.

• Develop migration runbooks, technical documentation, and operational procedures.

• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, network, and security teams throughout migration projects.

• Provide technical leadership during migration activities, including production cutovers and post-migration support.

• Mentor junior DBAs and provide technical guidance to project teams.

• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and operational standards.

Requirements

• 10+ years of Oracle Database Administration and Architecture experience.

• 10+ years designing and operating Oracle RAC environments.

• Extensive experience leading enterprise database migration programs.

• Proven experience architecting highly available Oracle platforms supporting business-critical workloads.
