What You’ll Do
- Analyze internal and external raw data to produce analytics-ready datasets aligned to stakeholder needs.
- Design data pipelines that curate and load data into the in-house data warehouse.
- Build and support data marts that enable self-service consumption for business and IT teams
- Maintain warehouse housekeeping routines to keep data accurate, available and cost-effective.
- Develop prototypes and analytical tooling to improve BI and advanced analytics workflows.
- Improve data quality and reliability through validation, monitoring and root-cause fixes.
- Plan and execute migration activities from existing databases to the in-house data warehouse.
- Champion data engineering standards and practical best practices across the team.
What Will Make You Shine
- Proven experience building data pipelines and warehouse datasets for BI and analytics use cases.
- Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) services such as Amazon RDS and AWS Fargate.
- Strong knowledge of Snowflake, including performance and data modeling considerations.
- Working knowledge of extract, transform, load (ETL) patterns and data warehousing concepts.
- Proficiency in programming with Python and/or Java for data engineering workloads.
- Experience with ETL tooling such as AWS Glue.
- Knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Clear communication with the ability to align stakeholders on requirements and delivery.
Nice to Have
- Certification in AWS Data Engineer Specialty or AWS Solution Architect Associate
- Experience working in financial services or other regulated environments
- Familiarity with enterprise agile ways of working such as Scrum, Kanban or SAFe
