Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking. A team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

  • Identify, scope, and lead projects that enhance trust & safety operations, even when they require cross-functional coordination and local optimization efforts. Take an AI-first mindset to develop, implement, and rigorously enforce scalable policies to combat abuse, fraud, and other harms across various Google products and multiple geographies.
  • Conduct in-depth investigations and perform root cause analysis on complex policy gaps, enforcement misses, and emerging abuse trends. Propose and implement data-driven corrective actions to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage and resolve high-profile escalations from internal and external stakeholders, providing clear and well-reasoned explanations of policy and enforcement actions. Translate policy intent into practical, scalable enforcement strategies and optimize implementation processes.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements within trust & safety workflows, leveraging data analysis to build scalable solutions.

Qualifications Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in data analytics, trust & safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields.
  • 2 years of experience managing escalations and cross-functional projects with Engineering, Legal, Sales or Product teams to deploy policy or process changes.
  • 2 years of experience in SQL, working with datasets and visualization or Large Language Models (LLMs).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD.
  • Experience in SQL, building dashboards, data collection/transformation, visualization/dashboards, or experience in a scripting/programming language (e.g. Python).
  • Experience in Generative AI and risk management.
  • Excellent investigative, communication and problem-solving skills with the knowledge in innovation, technology, and Google products.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) and the ability to influence cross-functionally at various levels.
