Overview Identity is the new security perimeter. As the Senior Product Marketing Manager for Identity Security, you will help define the future of how organizations secure users, workloads, agents, and access across increasingly complex digital environments. You will lead strategic marketing for Microsoft Entra's identity security solution, developing compelling narratives, influencing product direction, driving customer adoption, and establishing Microsoft as the industry leader in identity security. You will partner across engineering, product management, sales, analyst relations, customer marketing, and security portfolio teams to bring innovative security capabilities to market and accelerate business growth. Responsibilities Drive Category Leadership:

  • Define and execute marketing strategy for Microsoft Entra Identity Security initiatives.
  • Establish leadership in Identity security, Identity Protection, and emerging AI identity scenarios.
  • Build compelling market positions that differentiate Microsoft from competitors.
  • Partner with analyst relations to strengthen Microsoft's leadership in identity and security categories.

Shape Product Strategy:

  • Act as the voice of the customer and market within product planning cycles.
  • Influence roadmap investments through competitive insights, customer feedback, market trends, and AI-era security requirements.
  • Partner closely with product managers to identify growth opportunities.

Lead Launches and Storytelling:

  • Develop end-to-end go-to-market strategies for new capabilities and innovations.
  • Translate complex technical capabilities into clear customer value propositions.
  • Build messaging, narratives, positioning, content, demos, and sales enablement assets.
  • Partner across Entra, Defender, Security Copilot, and broader Microsoft Security teams to deliver unified customer stories.
  • Build Thought Leadership Drive executive communications, blog strategy, industry engagement, and customer storytelling.
  • Represent Microsoft externally with customers, partners, analysts, media, community leaders, and practitioners.
  • Develop thought leadership around identity security, AI security, Zero Trust, resilience, and secure access.

Accelerate Adoption and Growth:

  • Partner with integrated marketing, field teams, and customer success organizations to drive awareness, usage, and retention.
  • Support growth objectives across Entra, identity security, and broader Microsoft Security priorities.
  • Define success metrics and measure business impact through adoption, pipeline, engagement, and perception indicators.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen Microsoft's security leadership across identity and access management markets.

Qualifications Required/minimum qualifications

  • Master's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years’ experience in business.
  • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • Experience in cybersecurity, identity, access management, Zero Trust, or cloud security.
  • Knowledge of identity protection, authentication, threat protection, risk management, or security operations.
  • Experience working with analysts, press, and executive communications.
  • Experience launching technical products and influencing roadmap direction.
  • Passion for AI-driven security innovation and emerging identity challenges.

Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
