Sales Engineer

Key Function: Responsible for handling price and request for quotes (RFQ's) from our customers via email or over the phone and following up on pending or issued quotations. The Sales Engineer is also required to identify new sales opportunities through proactive questioning to ensure maximum share of customers' testing business.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Management system

• adhere to Element Quality and SHE management system and polies and procedures
• Assist with hazard identification an risk assessment exercises within their areas of responsibility.
• Monitor day-to-day health and safety in the area of responsibility and ensure all hazards, near misses and accidents are reported.

1. Responsibilities:

• Proactively engage with customers
• identify current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers, acting as liaison between customers and Element
• Focus on quotation enquiries from existing to new customers for standard products and services and execution within defines turnaround time
• Drive profitable sales expansion re-engaging with dormant accounts, while growing existing customers
• Gain pricing and lead time from standard price lists
• Work with relevant department to manage customer's queries or feedback
• Work alongside peers in other Element sectors and territories to develop and nurture a "Group approach" to selling all Element services
• Actively utilise CRM to record activities, ensuring contact details are accurate, duplicates are removed, new information is added and accurate call/visit logs are entered
• Achieve sales goals by converting and penetrating accounts
• Support Finance and Accounts Receivable recovery
• Build and maintain a working knowledge of Element's service offerings; participate in training/ coaching opportunities
• Ensure compliance with all Element policies including but not limited to Terms and Conditions, trade compliance, treatment of others, moral code of conduct, and employee handbook
• Ensure adherence to all applicable laws pertaining to safety, environment and corporate governance
