HSE TRAINER (DATA CENTRE, PHARMACEUTICAL, SEMICONDUCTOR) URGENT!

Job Description

The HSE Trainer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) training programs to employees, subcontractors, and project personnel. The role ensures compliance with company policies, client requirements, and statutory regulations while promoting a strong safety culture across all projects. The HSE Trainer develops training materials, conducts competency assessments, maintains training records, and evaluates the effectiveness of training programs to support continuous improvement in workplace safety. Key Responsibilities Training Delivery

  • Conduct HSE induction, refresher, and specialized safety training programs for employees and subcontractors.
  • Facilitate competency assessments and practical evaluations for HSE-related courses.
  • Deliver training in English and, where applicable, additional languages (Malay, Mandarin, Myanmar, Bengali, Tamil or Telugu) to support a diverse workforce.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and mass safety briefings.

Training Administration

  • Coordinate and schedule all mandatory and project-specific training activities.
  • Maintain and update training records and employee competency databases.
  • Monitor training validity and ensure timely renewal of mandatory certifications.
  • Prepare monthly training reports and compliance statistics.

Training Development

  • Assist in developing and updating Training Needs Analysis (TNA).
  • Develop training materials, presentations, handouts, and toolbox meeting content.
  • Review and improve existing training programs based on regulatory updates and project requirements.
  • Customize training modules to address site-specific hazards and operational risks.

Compliance & Advisory

  • Advise project teams on statutory and client-specific training requirements.
  • Ensure all training activities comply with workplace safety regulations and company standards.
  • Support audits and inspections by providing training documentation and competency records.
  • Monitor training effectiveness through post-training evaluations and workplace observations.

Continuous Improvement

  • Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and site performance.
  • Recommend improvements to enhance employee competency and safety awareness.
  • Support the implementation of company HSE initiatives and campaigns.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture across all projects.

Qualifications Education

  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
  • Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) or equivalent preferred.
  • ACTA/ACLP or equivalent training certification is preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Health, Safety and Environment within the construction, data centre, pharmaceutical, semiconductor or clean rooms industry.
  • Experience delivering classroom and practical safety training.
  • Experience maintaining training records and competency management systems.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of workplace safety regulations and construction safety practices.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Good organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple training schedules.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • ACTA / ACLP (Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance)
  • Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health
  • Risk Management Certification
  • Work at Height Assessor
  • First Aid / CPR & AED
  • Other relevant construction safety certifications
