Job Description
Job Summary The Financial Controller is responsible for leading corporate financial governance, statutory reporting, and regulatory compliance. Reporting to the Board and CEO, this role oversees financial reporting, treasury, audits, ERP financial systems, and compliance with accounting and corporate governance standards. You will also provide strategic financial insights to support business performance, cost optimisation, M&A activities, and corporate restructuring. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES A. SGX Catalist Compliance & Regulatory Governance
- Ensure strict organizational compliance with SGX Catalist listing rules, IFRS/SFRS accounting frameworks, and corporate governance mandates.
- Oversee the end-to-end preparation and timely submission of quarterly/annual financial reports, public disclosures, and regulatory filings.
- Act as the key liaison with SGX sponsors, external auditors, legal counsel, and regulatory authorities to satisfy all public reporting standards.
- Direct corporate tax strategies, GST compliance, and official financial filings.
B. Internal Controls & Risk Assurance
- Develop and maintain internal controls, risk management, and governance frameworks.
- Lead internal and external audits to ensure financial integrity and compliance.
- Assess business risks and review financial obligations, vendor contracts, and commercial agreements.
C. Treasury, Capital & Liquidity Management
- Formulate robust cash flow models, forecasting processes, and liquidity strategies to maintain business stability.
- Optimize working capital efficiency and manage financial risk exposure.
- Oversee corporate financing arrangements, debt structures, and banking relationships.
D. Performance Tracking & Financial Planning
- Establish financial KPIs and performance benchmarks to monitor company profitability.
- Execute cost-control mechanisms, budget enforcement strategies, and variance analysis (budget vs. actual).
E. Systems Optimization & Strategic Advisory
- Drive finance process automation, digital transformation, and ERP system enhancements for data accuracy.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO and Board of Directors to support business expansion, restructuring, and M&A opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional Certification: CA, CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent recognized professional accounting qualification.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive financial management experience, including proven exposure to SGX-listed companies.
- Regulatory Expertise: Hands-on knowledge of SGX Catalist listing rules, sponsor interactions, IFRS/SFRS, and corporate governance standards.
- Systems & Tools: Proficient in financial systems and ERP solutions (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, Power BI).
- Core Competencies: Track record in corporate treasury, debt restructuring, and M&A support
