Full Stack Engineer (ArcGIS)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive user interfaces using frameworks like React and other JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks, with an emphasis on clarity, performance, and maintainability

• Create clear, interactive visualizations and intuitive UI components that support data-driven decision-making and elegant user experiences

• Collaborate across the stack to define efficient APIs and data models that optimize front-end responsiveness and reduce latency

• Write clean, modular, and maintainable code, and actively participate in peer reviews to uphold code quality and consistency.

• Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues

• Partner with UX designers and product engineers in a cross-functional team to implement user-centric features and capabilities

• Experience in ArcGIS Enterprise setup and administration. Experience with High Availability (HA) deployments for production environments is an added advantage (Optional)

• Work as part of a team to implement GIS workflows using the ArcGIS platform

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during all phases of implementation including requirements, analysis, design, build/configuration, and deployment

• Implement data security measures, access controls, and compliance standards across environments

• Automate routine database loading, maintenance, and monitoring tasks to improve efficiency

• Provide technical guidance and best practices for database design, migration, and integration projects

• Additional advantage (Optional): Configure ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise to support Maritime Charting Workflows

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software development, with an emphasis on front-end engineering and building user-centric web applications

• 3+ years of professional experience designing, implementing, and/or administrating GIS solutions/systems that leverage the ArcGIS platform (desktop, server, and enterprise database)

• Proficient in JavaScript and TypeScript, with extensive experience in frameworks such as React, and a solid understanding of front-end integration patterns utilizing REST APIs

• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design techniques

• Proficient in SQL query syntax and interacting with common RDBMS systems such as SQL Server

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

• Collaborative and committed to continuous improvement, taking a leadership role in design reviews, code reviews, and knowledge sharing

• Understanding of geospatial concepts such as spatial data types, coordinate systems, and spatial indexing

• Scripting skills in SQL and Python for automation and data workflows

• Work with MPA teams (DBA, Network, Infra Team) to support the database design principles, data loading techniques, backup and recovery solutions, performance monitoring and tuning, database maintenance, and security

• Additional advantage (Optional): Experience supporting hydrographic data and nautical chart production
