QA/QC Engineer

About the Role We are seeking a QA/QC Engineer to manage and monitor quality assurance and quality control activities for construction projects. The role will establish project quality procedures, conduct inspections, and coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure works comply with approved standards and specifications. Job Scope

• Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan, inspection procedures, and quality-control documentation.

• Review drawings, specifications, method statements, material submissions, and Inspection and Test Plans.

• Conduct site inspections to verify that construction works, materials, and workmanship meet approved requirements.

• Coordinate inspections, testing activities, hold points, and witness points with consultants, subcontractors, and project teams.

• Identify non-conforming works and issue Non-Conformance Reports where required.

• Follow up on corrective and preventive actions and ensure quality issues are properly rectified and closed.

• Maintain inspection records, test reports, material approvals, quality registers, and other project documentation.

• Monitor subcontractors’ quality performance and recommend measures to strengthen quality standards and work processes.

• Support internal and external quality audits and ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and company requirements.

• Prepare regular quality reports and update the project management team on inspections, defects, and outstanding actions.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

• Relevant experience in building, civil, infrastructure, or general construction projects.

• Familiar with project quality plans, Inspection and Test Plans, material inspections, NCR management, and quality audits.

• Able to read and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, and method statements.

• Knowledge of construction quality standards, inspection procedures, and documentation requirements.

• Strong attention to detail, reporting, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

• Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
