Business Analyst

Summary TEKsystems is a leading provider of technology consulting, committed to delivering innovative solutions and exceptional service to our clients. We’re hiring a Business Analyst to join a high-performing data team at a leading institutional investment firm. Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with stakeholders and users to understand, probe, and document business requirements.

• Craft detailed user journeys and use cases to illustrate how different types of users will interact with the systems and data.

• Translate business requirements and user journeys into functional specifications and detailed requirements.

• Work closely with technical teams to design and implement solutions that align with the defined user journeys and meet operational needs.

• Ensure the solutions developed incorporates best practices alongside user requirements.

• Conduct analysis to ensure quality and consistency, and to validate that the implemented solutions meet user needs.

• Develop and maintain documentation, including data dictionaries, process flows, user journeys, and project plans.

• Assist with data governance and data management initiatives.

• Monitor system performance and work with technical teams to manage any necessary enhancements or fixes, ensuring changes align with the defined user journeys.

• Work closely with technical teams and relevant parties to ensure sprints are planned and completed in a timely manner.

• Perform BAU monitoring, investigations, and resolutions.

Must Have Skills:

• Degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in a data management or business analyst role within the investment and banking industry.

• Proficiency in SQL and Python

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Nice to haves:

• Experience with SDLC and/or Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.

• Good understanding of data modelling and data integration.
