- Focus on leveraging global EWM templates and minimizing unnecessary changes
Role Expectations and Scope • The requested resources are not expected to perform Project Manager responsibilities, as a dedicated SAP Project Manager already exists. • The primary responsibility will be to understand and support manufacturing and business operation processes used by the site. • Resources should be capable of: o Evaluating user requirements. o Determining whether requirements can be addressed using standard SAP functionality. o Recommending alternatives or workarounds when standard functionality is insufficient. o Advising when customization is genuinely required versus when existing SAP capabilities can be leveraged.
SAP Landscape and Future Direction • The organization is currently operating on SAP ECC. • A future transition to SAP S/4HANA is planned. • Resources should possess knowledge of both ECC and S/4HANA environments. The team requires guidance on: o Day-1 mandatory functionality required to support operations. o Features that can be deferred for later implementation phases during the S/4HANA journey.
Documentation and Knowledge Transfer • Existing documentation and process materials will be provided, including: o User Requirement Specifications (URS) o Process flow documentation o Existing operational references from other sites/countries • New resources will be expected to familiarize themselves with these materials during onboarding.
