Senior Network Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to lead the design, implementation, automation, optimization, and operational support of enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership in delivering highly available, secure, and scalable networking solutions while supporting digital transformation, cloud adoption, and enterprise infrastructure initiatives. The role will collaborate closely with Cloud Engineers, Infrastructure Engineers, Platform Engineers, Cybersecurity teams, DevOps Engineers, System Administrators, Enterprise Architects, and application delivery teams to ensure resilient, high-performing network services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, administration, and optimization of enterprise network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and Data Centre environments.

• Design and implement hybrid cloud networking solutions across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Configure and manage cloud networking components including VPCs, VNets, Route Tables, Network ACLs, Security Groups, VPN Gateways, Transit Gateway, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect, Cloud NAT, and Load Balancers.

• Lead enterprise network modernization, migration, cloud transformation, and infrastructure refresh initiatives.

• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform to automate provisioning and configuration of network infrastructure.

• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate Terraform deployments into CI/CD pipelines.

• Design and support enterprise routing and switching protocols including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, QoS, VLAN, STP, HSRP, and VRRP.

• Install, configure, and support routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless controllers, and SD-WAN appliances.

• Implement and maintain secure hybrid connectivity using VPN, AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, Google Cloud Interconnect, and SD-WAN technologies.

• Design and implement enterprise network security solutions including Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, IDS/IPS, Zero Trust Architecture, network segmentation, and access control policies.

• Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity using enterprise monitoring tools and proactively resolve performance bottlenecks.

• Perform root cause analysis for complex network incidents and provide Level 3 technical support.

• Develop and maintain network architecture documentation, SOPs, operational runbooks, disaster recovery procedures, and technical standards.

• Participate in Incident, Problem, Change, Release, and Capacity Management activities aligned with ITIL best practices.

• Mentor junior network engineers and provide technical guidance on complex infrastructure projects.

• Work closely with vendors, telecommunications providers, and project stakeholders to deliver enterprise networking solutions.

• Ensure compliance with enterprise security policies, operational governance, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 8 years of experience in enterprise network engineering and infrastructure support.

• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or equivalent enterprise networking technologies.

• Proven experience designing and supporting enterprise LAN, WAN, Wireless, VPN, SD-WAN, and Data Centre networking environments.

• Hands-on experience with cloud networking across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform.

• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for cloud and network infrastructure provisioning.

• Strong understanding of DevOps concepts and CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation.

• Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLAN, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, QoS, routing, and switching.

• Experience implementing and supporting enterprise firewall technologies such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, or Check Point.

• Experience with enterprise network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark, Splunk, Grafana, or equivalent.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience supporting mission-critical enterprise production environments with high availability requirements.
