Network Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, administer, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, scalability, security, and performance of enterprise networks while supporting digital transformation initiatives, cloud adoption, and business-critical applications. The role requires close collaboration with Cloud Engineers, Infrastructure Engineers, Cybersecurity teams, DevOps Engineers, System Administrators, and Application teams to deliver highly available and secure networking solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, SD-WAN, and Internet connectivity.

• Deploy, configure, and administer routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, VPN gateways, and load balancers.

• Support hybrid cloud networking across Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Configure and manage cloud networking components, including Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), Virtual Networks (VNets), subnets, route tables, network security groups (NSGs), security policies, VPN gateways, and cloud load balancers.

• Implement and manage secure hybrid connectivity using Site-to-Site VPN, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, Cloud Interconnect, and SD-WAN technologies.

• Automate network infrastructure deployment and configuration using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.

• Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud Engineering teams to support CI/CD pipelines and automated infrastructure provisioning.

• Configure and support enterprise routing and switching protocols, including BGP, OSPF, VLAN, STP, HSRP, VRRP, and MPLS.

• Monitor network availability, utilization, and performance using enterprise monitoring platforms and proactively resolve network issues.

• Troubleshoot complex network incidents and perform root cause analysis to minimize service disruption.

• Support network implementation, migration, upgrades, disaster recovery testing, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.

• Implement network security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, ACLs, VPN, network segmentation, and Zero Trust security principles.

• Develop and maintain network architecture diagrams, operational documentation, SOPs, and technical standards.

• Participate in change management, release management, incident management, and operational support processes.

• Work closely with vendors, telecommunications providers, and internal stakeholders to deliver enterprise networking solutions.

• Ensure compliance with enterprise security policies, governance standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise network engineering and administration.

• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or equivalent enterprise networking technologies.

• Experience supporting enterprise LAN, WAN, Wireless, VPN, SD-WAN, and Data Centre networking environments.

• Hands-on experience supporting cloud networking within AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform.

• Experience configuring and managing cloud networking services, including VPC, VNet, Route Tables, Subnets, Security Groups, Network ACLs, VPN Gateway, Transit Gateway, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect, Cloud NAT, and Load Balancers.

• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for cloud infrastructure and network provisioning.

• Good understanding of DevOps concepts and CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation.

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLAN, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, QoS, and routing/switching technologies.

• Experience with enterprise firewall technologies, including Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, or Check Point.

• Experience using network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark, Splunk, or Grafana.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience supporting high-availability, mission-critical production environments.
