Generator Service Engineer

Company Summary Julian Grey’s client is an established engineering and construction-related firm supporting technical drafting and project documentation works. Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing, inspections and preventive maintenance of diesel and gas generator systems.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and control-system faults.

• Conduct load testing and inspect batteries, fuel systems, cooling systems and control panels.

• Respond to breakdowns and perform on-site repairs to minimise downtime.

• Assist with the installation, testing and commissioning of new generator systems.

• Monitor equipment performance and recommend parts replacement or system upgrades.

• Maintain accurate service reports, maintenance records and equipment logs.

• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health regulations and established safety procedures.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification.

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in servicing and maintaining generators or related electromechanical equipment.

• Strong knowledge of engine systems, electrical circuits and control panels, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.

• Building Construction Supervisors Safety Course certification is required, with willingness to provide on-call emergency support.
