Program Engineer (Operations)
Job Description
The Program Engineer (Operations) is responsible for maintaining and operating PMO-PSB systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security. The role directly supports business operations by providing timely system support and ensuring compliance with service standards and SLAs. The engineer plays a key role in IT operations and service delivery, contributing to continuous improvement and supporting Certis’ mission of making the world safer, smarter, and better.
Key Responsibilities
- L1 Operations & Support Provide L1 support for PMO-PSB systems (remote and onsite, 24/7 standby roster). Respond to user requests, operational alerts, and cybersecurity incidents. Support system verification testing after patching and maintenance cycles. Co-manage monitoring dashboards and alerting systems. Support change management using service management platforms. Maintain and update O&M playbooks. Prepare and submit operational reports.2. Service Delivery Management Ensure patch management across applications, servers, and infrastructure. Support backup, recovery, redundancy, and disaster recovery processes. Manage IT asset lifecycle (expiry, renewal, replacement, disposal). Ensure system and application availability (planned/unplanned maintenance). Monitor and meet SLA/OLA commitments. Drive continuous improvement of system resilience and support.
- Programme Delivery & Operations Support solution design, implementation, integration, testing, and commissioning. Ensure systems are secure-by-design and compliant with standards. Maintain and update technical documentation. Support governance activities: Cybersecurity and privacy risk management Compliance and audit support Configuration and change management Provision, install, configure, and monitor systems and cloud infrastructure. Collaborate across teams to improve efficiency and delivery outcomes.
Qualifications & Requirements Education Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in: Computer Science IT / Computer Engineering Related fields
Experience Minimum 2 years in IT Operations / Service Delivery. Exposure to end-to-end SDLC. Experience with SLA/OLA-driven environments.
Technical Skills (Desirable) Experience in one or more areas: Programming: C#, Java, JavaScript DevOps / DevSecOps Cloud: AWS, Azure Virtualisation technologies Database & storage systems Middleware and system integration Cybersecurity (hardening, vulnerability management) Windows/Linux administration Networking & infrastructure AI (basic exposure) Other Skills Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Good communication and stakeholder engagement Positive attitude and ownership mindset Basic understanding of project management lifecycle
Certifications (Preferred) ITIL Other relevant IT / Cloud / Security certification
