Application Developer

Responsibilities

• Execute projects and enhancements to improve STP trade interfaces, including pre-trade related functions, ensuring seamless system integration and performance

• Analyze user requirements to design and develop Murex STP trade interfaces that meet business needs and compliance standards

• Develop automation scripts using UNIX shell scripting, SQL, and Core Java to streamline data exchange between Murex and other application systems

• Collaborate independently and communicate effectively with project managers, business analysts, business users, and external vendors to deliver project objectives

• Build and maintain Confirmation templates, event notices, Swift Messages, and related document generation within the STP environment

• Apply Agile software development practices to manage iterative development and testing cycles

• Utilize automated test frameworks to validate interface functionality and ensure quality deliverables

Required competencies and certifications

• Proficiency in Murex MxML (MX 3.1), including XML/XST and data dictionaries

• Experience with Murex pre-trade sequences related to STP trade interfaces

• Strong SQL skills, preferably in a Sybase environment

• Competence in UNIX system commands and shell scripting

• Knowledge of Murex DataMart reporting and market data systems (MDRS/MDCS/RTBS)

• Core Java programming skills, preferably version 1.6 and above

• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies

• Hands-on experience with automated test frameworks
