Job Description
Your new company Client is a leading provider of mailing, inserting and sortation equipment working closely with SMEs and Fortune 500 companies. They are urgently looking for a 6+6 months Assistant Accountant to join the team. There’s a good chance to convert this person thereafter as it is a replacement role. Location: East Central Salary: up to $4,500 per month Your new role The Assistant Accountant supports the full spectrum of accounting functions while assisting with Human Resources and Office Administration in Singapore. This is a hands-on, supporting role ideal for a professional who is keen to grow in a dynamic environment and contribute to financial governance, people support, and operational efficiency. Financial & Accounting
- Full-Set Accounting Support: Assist in maintaining full sets of accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded in compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
- Period-End Closing Support: Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of accruals, prepayments, depreciation schedules, and other adjusting entries under the supervision of the Finance Manager.
- Accounts Receivable (AR):
- Prepare and issue invoices and monthly Statements of Accounts (SOAs) to customers.
- Monitor overdue accounts and follow up on outstanding payments via email or phone.
- Reconcile customer receipts against outstanding invoices and update AR aging reports.
- Accounts Payable (AP):

- Process staff claims and vendor invoices, ensuring proper approval workflows are obtained.
- Perform 3-way matching (PO/Receipt/Invoice) for vendor payments.
- Schedule and execute payment, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement.
- Cash & Treasury Support:

- Assist in preparing cash flow forecasts and daily cash position reports.
- Support day-to-day cash management and treasury operations.
- Internal Controls & Documentation:

- Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures documentation as directed.
- Ensure compliance with internal control protocols.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Budget Support: Assist in the annual budgeting exercise, including timeline coordination, data collection from department heads, and preliminary financial modelling under the guidance of the Finance Manager.
- Variance Tracking: Support the tracking and reporting of budget vs actual performance, highlighting significant variances and assisting in root cause analysis for management review.
Tax & Compliance
- GST & Statutory Filings: Assist in the preparation and filing of GST submissions and CPF filings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in compliance with IRAS and MOM requirements.
- Corporate Tax Support: Support the preparation of corporate tax computations and schedules, assisting in tax return filings and responding to queries from tax authorities.
Human Resources
- Payroll Support:

- Assist in monthly payroll processing, including data entry, staff claims verification, leave balance tracking, and attendance record maintenance.
- Support CPF submissions and other statutory filings under supervision.
- Work Pass Administration: Assist in Employment Pass, S-Pass, and Work Permit applications, renewals, and cancellations with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Support employee lifecycle processes, including preparing onboarding materials, maintaining employee Files, and coordinating exit procedures.
Office Administration
- Office Operations:

- Oversee daily office operations, including vendor management, procurement of office supplies, and maintenance of service contracts.
- Coordinate office maintenance, equipment servicing, and facility-related matters.
- General Support:

- Provide administrative support to management, including scheduling meetings, travel arrangements, and document preparation.
- Assist in coordinating staff events, team-building activities, and company functions.
Cross-Functional Backup: Provide cross-functional coverage and support for other administrative and finance team members as required.
