Software Engineer (Java/Kotlin)

Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Java/Kotlin) to develop and support enterprise applications, with a focus on Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, IBM MQ, SQL, and complex production troubleshooting. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot.

• Translate business requirements into scalable and secure technical solutions.

• Troubleshoot complex legacy systems and production issues.

• Develop and optimise SQL across Oracle/MySQL.

• Work with JMS/IBM MQ, REST/SOAP, and enterprise integrations.

• Apply JUnit, TDD, code reviews, and engineering best practices.

• Support AWS, CI/CD, Docker, and Git.

• Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum environment.

Requirements

• Relevant 5 years of working experience with Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot.

• Strong understanding of OOP, data structures, algorithms, and software design.

• Experience with JUnit/TDD and acceptance testing.

• Strong SQL/database knowledge.

• Experience with JMS/IBM MQ and REST/SOAP.

• Basic Linux, AWS, CI/CD, Docker, and Git knowledge.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Good to Have: EJB, JPA/Hibernate, JBoss/WildFly, Kafka, React.js, and complex SQL optimisation.
