Pega / Java Developer

Job Description ·      We are looking for a Java Developer who is willing to learn Pega to join our Application Enhancement / Maintenance Support Team. ·      The role involves application enhancements, production support, testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution. ·      Candidates with existing Pega experience are preferred, but strong Java Developers with good application support experience and a willingness to learn Pega will also be considered. Key Responsibilities ·      Develop and implement application enhancements based on Change Requests. ·      Learn and work on Pega applications, workflows, and business rules. ·      Perform application testing and resolve application defects. ·      Provide production support and handle user queries and application issues. ·       Troubleshoot production problems and provide appropriate resolutions or workarounds. ·      Work closely with external systems/teams to resolve integration and production issues when required. ·      Analyse application issues and identify root causes. ·      Ensure assigned deliverables are completed within agreed timelines and quality standards. ·      Ensure SLAs are met and escalate issues whenever required. ·      Support ongoing application maintenance, enhancements, and continuous improvement. Key Requirements ·      Strong hands-on experience in Java development. Good knowledge of Java, Spring/Spring Boot, APIs and application development. ·      Experience in application maintenance, production support, troubleshooting, or defect resolution. ·      Willingness and ability to learn Pega and transition into Pega development/support. ·      Candidates with Pega experience or Pega certification will have an added advantage. ·      Understanding of REST APIs, integrations, databases and enterprise applications is preferred. ·      Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and stakeholder management skills. ·      Ability to work in a support environment and meet defined SLAs.
