APAC Community Lead (Contract)

The Sui Foundation exists to support the development, growth and adoption of the Sui network. Sui is the first permissionless Layer 1 blockchain designed from the ground up to enable creators and developers to build unique Web3 experiences from gaming to finance. Role Overview:The Community Lead for APAC will play a pivotal role in cultivating and expanding the Sui community across the region. This person will be responsible for developing and executing community programming and events, driving adoption, and fostering a deep connection between Sui and its users. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in community management in web3, and a proven track record of scaling communities.Key Responsibilities:<ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Community Programming & Events: Design, launch, and manage community initiatives that resonate with Sui's APAC audience. Organize events, both virtual and in-person, that drive engagement and foster a strong sense of community.</li><li>Cross-Channel Engagement: Manage and grow regional market community engagement across multiple platforms, including Discord, Telegram, Twitter, and forums. Ensure consistent communication and active participation across channels.</li><li>Engagement & Advocacy: Build and maintain relationships with key community members and builders. Act as the voice of the community within the Sui Foundation’s community channels, ensuring that feedback is integrated into decision-making processes. Find ways to spotlight key community and builder contributions.</li><li>Content Creation & Amplification: Collaborate with the marketing team to create and distribute high-quality content that educates, informs, and engages the community. Develop a content calendar to ensure consistency.</li><li>Community Supporter Network: Existing relationships with, or strong familiarity with, APAC based crypto and trading communities.</li><li>Moderation & Community Health: Oversee the moderation of community channels to ensure a positive, safe, and inclusive environment. Address conflicts and issues within the community proactively.</li><li>Data-Driven Approach: Use analytics to assess community health, optimize engagement strategies, and report key metrics to the leadership team.</li></ul> Key Qualifications:<ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Experience: 3-5 years of experience in community management. Proven track record of launching and scaling community programs.</li><li>Communication: Native Mandarin speaker. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin.</li><li>Web3 Knowledge: Deep understanding of Web3 culture, including familiarity with blockchain technology, decentralized applications, and the unique dynamics of Web3 communities.</li><li>Event Management: Experience in planning and executing successful community events, both online and offline.</li><li>Strategic & Tactical: Ability to think strategically while being hands-on in execution. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment.</li><li>Proactive & Solutions-Oriented: A self-starter who takes initiative and thrives in a dynamic, evolving environment.
