Risk Manager - Global Payment - Singapore

Team Introduction In line with the globalization strategy and vision of the company, the Global Payments team builds a platform to provide cross-border payment solutions for all ByteDance's products and services, that are growing rapidly worldwide. This is an exciting opportunity to make an impact on global scale across all ByteDance's business use cases.

Responsibilities:

• Own the risk operations workflows across payment and business scenarios, including customer complaints, appeals, and disputes. Monitor quality and efficiency, ensure consistent execution across internal teams, BPO agents, and AI agents.
• Partner with Risk Strategy, Product, Engineering, Customer Service, and external payment partners to resolve operational bottlenecks, improve customer experience.
• Design and roll out operations processes to support business expansion, new payment products, and emerging risk control touchpoints. Assess operational readiness, define ownership and escalation paths, and monitor post-launch performance.
• For the Senior Specialist level: Act as the operational point of contact for an assigned business domain, lead end-to-end diagnosis of complex issues, and drive cross-functional improvement initiatives from problem definition through implementation and impact validation.

This role will be based onsite at our office and will require a 5-day onsite work arrangement.

Qualifications Minimum Qualification(s):

• Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Business, Finance, Statistics, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 3 years of work experience in Fintech, E-commerce, or payment related companies.
• Proficient in English (oral and written) for regular collaboration with cross-regional teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualification(s):

• Strong problem-solving and data-driven capability; able to identify patterns from cases, and able to conduct data query using SQL or dashboard tools.
• High ownership, and strong cross-team collaboration capability.
