Cybersecurity Specialist
Job Description
Role Summary The Cybersecurity Specialist is responsible for the administration, maintenance, monitoring and continuous improvement of enterprise cybersecurity platforms across on-premises, cloud and IT environments. The role ensures security controls remain operational, effective and aligned with cybersecurity standards and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities • Administer, configure, maintain and troubleshoot cybersecurity platforms including: o Firewall & IPS o Endpoint Security (AV, EDR) o Data Protection (DLP, CASB) o Web Security (Proxy, Secure Web Gateway) o Privileged Access Management (CyberArk) o Web Application Firewall (WAF) o File Integrity Monitoring (Tripwire) • Perform system upgrades, patching, policy management, rule reviews and health monitoring of security solutions. • Monitor security alerts and events, investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis and support remediation activities. • Support incident response, threat hunting, tabletop exercises and cyber resilience activities. • Maintain SOPs, hardening standards, technical documentation and operational procedures. • Work with infrastructure, cloud, application teams, MSSPs and vendors to resolve security issues and implement security improvements. • Support projects by providing security implementation, onboarding and operational support for new technologies and services.
Requirements • 3-6 years of hands-on cybersecurity operations or security engineering experience. • Strong experience administering multiple security technologies such as Firewalls, IPS, EDR, DLP, CASB, WAF, CyberArk and Tripwire. • Experience with Windows, Linux, networking and cloud environments. • Relevant certifications such as SC-200, AZ-500, CISSP or equivalent are advantageous.
