Software engineer

Job Description ·       We are seeking a motivated and skilled Software Engineer with 2–4 years of experience in Java application development and exposure to Angular. ·       The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions. ·       This role offers an opportunity to work on enterprise-scale applications using modern technologies in a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and technical teams to gather, analyze, and understand business and functional requirements. • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Angular. • Translate functional and technical specifications into scalable, efficient, and maintainable software solutions. • Write clean, secure, reusable, and well-documented code in accordance with coding standards and best practices. • Develop and consume RESTful APIs to support application integration. • Perform unit testing and support integration testing, system testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). • Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve application defects, production issues, and performance bottlenecks. • Implement software enhancements, bug fixes, and configuration changes as required. • Participate in peer code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and compliance with security standards. • Prepare and maintain technical documentation throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful and timely project delivery. • Contribute to Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. • 2–4 years of hands-on experience in Java application development. • Exposure to Angular or other modern front-end frameworks. • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and software design principles. • Experience in developing RESTful APIs and web-based applications. • Knowledge of SQL databases and database design concepts. • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile development methodologies. • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Preferred Skills • Experience with Spring Boot or other Java frameworks. • Knowledge of Git or other version control systems. • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices. • Familiarity with secure coding standards and enterprise application development. • Basic understanding of cloud platforms and microservices architecture is an added advantage.
