AI Creative Specialist - GenMedia, BytePlus - Japan
Job Description
About BytePlus BytePlus is the enterprise technology arm of ByteDance, providing Generative AI, multimodal models, AI agent solutions, and cloud infrastructure capabilities to businesses worldwide.
Join BytePlus as an AI Solution Architect focused on Generative AI Creative. You will help customers turn cutting-edge image, video, audio and multimodal models into scalable products, creative workflows and measurable business outcomes.
This is a customer-facing role spanning pre-sales, solution architecture, prototyping and production delivery. The ideal candidate combines strong technical judgment with a practical understanding of how creative content is developed, reviewed, localized, distributed and measured in industries such as advertising, e-commerce, film, animation, media and entertainment.
Core Focus
- Generative image, video, audio and multimodal models
- AI-powered creative production workflows
- Customer solution design and technical pre-sales
- Production architecture, optimization and delivery
Industry applications
- Advertising creative generation and adaptation
- E-commerce product imagery and video
- Film, animation and pre-visualization
- Media localization and content operations
Responsibilities:
- Lead customer discovery and solution architecture: Partner with sales and customer stakeholders to identify high-value creative AI opportunities, define technical and business requirements, and design solutions that connect model capabilities with real production workflows.
- Build compelling prototypes and proofs of value: Rapidly create customer-facing demos using image, video, audio and multimodal generation models, demonstrating clear creative quality, workflow efficiency or commercial impact.
- Own production delivery: Guide solutions from prototype to launch, including model and API integration, system architecture, media-processing pipelines, deployment, observability, evaluation, safety and operational handover.
- Design agentic creative workflows: Build practical agent harnesses that orchestrate models, tools, state, memory, asset processing, human review and quality checks across multi-step creative production tasks.
- Optimize quality, performance and economics: Make informed trade-offs across output quality, consistency, latency, throughput, reliability and cost. Improve prompts, model configurations, routing, caching and inference strategies based on production requirements.
- Establish evaluation standards: Define fit-for-purpose evaluation approaches for creative outputs, combining automated metrics, model-based evaluation, human review and business or campaign performance signals.
- Shape product and go-to-market direction: Translate customer feedback and industry patterns into actionable input for product, research and engineering teams; develop reusable solution patterns, reference architectures and industry narratives.
- Drive cross-functional execution: Coordinate with account executives, product managers, researchers, engineers, creative stakeholders and customer teams to manage technical risks and deliver successful outcomes.
Qualifications Minimum Qualification(s):
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in AI/ML engineering, solution architecture, forward-deployed engineering, creative technology, technical consulting or a related role.
- Proven production experience with generative media models, particularly image, video or audio generation, beyond isolated experiments or basic API demos.
- Hands-on delivery experience in at least one creative industry such as advertising, e-commerce, film, animation, media and entertainment, gaming, social content or creator platforms.
- Demonstrated ownership of production-grade AI projects, including architecture, integration, testing, deployment, monitoring, quality control and operational reliability.
- Practical understanding of generative media techniques such as prompting, reference conditioning, controllable generation, fine-tuning or LoRA, model evaluation and iterative creative refinement.
- Hands-on experience designing agentic workflows or harnesses involving orchestration, tool use, state or memory, model routing, evaluation, human-in-the-loop review and failure handling.
- Ability to communicate architecture decisions, model trade-offs and delivery risks clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualification(s):
- Deep domain experience in advertising production, creative agencies, e-commerce content operations, film or animation production, media platforms or creative software.
- A creative portfolio or experience working closely with directors, designers, animators, editors, producers, marketers or other creative professionals.
- Experience measuring the business impact of creative AI, such as production efficiency, content volume, localization speed, engagement, conversion or campaign performance.
- Experience leading complex proofs of concept, technical workshops, customer pilots or multi-stakeholder production deployments.
- Ability to create reusable reference architectures and mentor customers or internal teams on generative media solution design.
