Linux Engineer

Key Responsibilities • Linux System Administration • Install, configure, harden, patch, and maintain Linux systems (primarily RHEL-based distributions) • Perform OS tuning, performance optimization, and capacity planning • Ensure system security compliance (CIS benchmarks, patching, vulnerability remediation) • Infrastructure Operations • Manage Linux systems across development, testing, and production environments • Provide Level 3 support for Linux-related incidents and issues • Support high availability and disaster recovery configurations • Automation & DevOps • Develop and maintain automation using Ansible, Bash, and Python • Automate provisioning, patching, and configuration management workflows • Continuously improve system efficiency through infrastructure-as-code practices • System Monitoring & Reliability • Monitor system health, logs, and performance using enterprise monitoring tools • Troubleshoot system bottlenecks, kernel issues, and application dependencies • Ensure high system availability and uptime • Hardware & Platform Support • Support physical server infrastructure including installation and maintenance • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for hardware-related issues • Documentation & Compliance • Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and runbooks • Ensure compliance with internal policies, security standards, and audit requirements

Requirement: Education & Experience • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration in enterprise environments • Core Technical Skills • Strong hands-on expertise in RHEL / Linux (LVM, networking, kernel tuning, system internals) • Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible preferred) • Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash) and familiarity with Python • Experience working in large-scale, production environments • Additional Skills (Preferred) • Familiarity with containers (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus • Understanding of security hardening and compliance standards • Red Hat certification (RHCSA/RHCE) is highly desirable • ITIL certification is an advantage • Network for Electronic Transfers (Singapore) Pte Ltd.
