Android Engineer

Key Responsibilities: • Design and implement new user-facing features for Android applications • Build stable, efficient, and high-performance code with strong attention to user experience • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features at scale • Integrate third-party APIs and data sources, including real-time and low-latency services • Write unit tests and improve robustness, reliability, and edge-case handling • Troubleshoot issues, fix critical bugs, and continuously improve app performance • Participate in technical and architectural discussions and contribute to long-term product direction • Work on performance optimization across memory, layout, battery, rendering, networking, and cold start • Support modularization, codebase maintainability, and large-scale refactoring efforts • Contribute to code reviews, best practices, and engineering quality standards Required Qualifications: • 5+ years of Android development experience • Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and Android fundamentals • Deep knowledge of Android system architecture, lifecycle, and UI rendering • Experience with Jetpack components such as ViewModel and Room • Experience with Retrofit, OkHttp, and modern Android networking patterns • Hands-on experience with MVVM/MVI and modular app architecture • Proven track record of performance optimization and issue diagnosis • Familiarity with debugging and profiling tools such as Profiler, Systrace, Perfetto, and LeakCanary • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
