We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help shape the architecture and development of our AI platform. In this role, you’ll collaborate with architects, designers, product managers, and fellow engineers to influence product direction, refine functional requirements, and deliver high-performance, scalable software products and APIs.

This position is based out of our Mountain View office on a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office weekly). We are currently evaluating candidates who reside locally.

Responsibities:

• Lead the design and implementation of robust, highly scalable services and APIs.

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code and automation.

• Apply object-oriented design (OOD) and service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles to Java development.

• Participate in design and code reviews to strengthen software quality, performance, and maintainability.

• Maintain and improve CI/CD and release pipelines to support reliable, efficient deployments.

• Identify and resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks to improve application quality and responsiveness.

About you:

• 5+ years of software development experience using Java and/or Python.

• Experience building secure, complex, and scalable APIs, from design through deployment.

• Hands-on experience with Docker, Git, Gradle, and Linux.

• A strong foundation in writing, testing, and delivering high-quality, maintainable code.

• Experience with SQL development, data modeling, and complex data structures for high-volume, high-velocity data, as well as experience working with NoSQL technologies.

• Experience with OAuth, logging, and security frameworks.

• Strong experience using Claude and other large language models (LLMs) to support software development.

• Hands-on experience with code quality tools such as SonarQube, PMD, and Checkstyle.

• Demonstrated success leading technical design and implementation, mentoring engineers, and guiding projects through delivery.

• Strong collaboration skills and a willingness to work with global, cross-functional teams across time zones
