Job Description
Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.
As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.
As The Financial Planning and Analysis Hub Finance Analyst, you will leverage Google's vast financial data to unlock insights and drive process efficiency for key stakeholders across the company. You will lead the implementation of solutions that address the needs of your Finance and Business partners, sharpen your investigative skills, and make an impact on a global scale in Google's first Hub focused specifically on Financial Planning and Analysis activities.
In this role, you will have well-rounded Financial Planning and Analysis experience, a bias toward action and is intellectually curious. The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $116000 - $166000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

- Develop and implement strategies and solutions to enforce YouTube policies at scale. Provide data-driven insights and recommendations for effective abuse prevention and enforcement. Leverage Machine Learning and AI, as appropriate.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders and partners in Engineering, Product, Policy and Operations to drive complex anti-abuse solutions involving and impacting various cross-functional areas.
- Provide rapid incident response for abuse problems, operating independently. Analyze and draw conclusions on root-causes and define and implement mitigation steps.
- Learn complex and technical concepts and systems and deliver meaningful results using them. Communicate technical results and methods clearly.
- Design and refine LLM solutions and agents to improve accuracy of identifying and classifying abusive content and behavior.
Qualifications Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends, generating summary statistics, and drawing insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
- 2 years of experience managing projects and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in anti-abuse operations at scale.
- Track record of leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) and generative AI technologies to solve business problems.
- Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders to gather requirements, explain models and iterate to make improvements.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities with a history of going above and beyond to make operational improvements and solve tough problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
