Data Center Operator (Contract)

Responsibilities

• Perform daily data center operations, including batch processing, report printing, system backups, tape management, server reboots, and infrastructure checks to maintain operational efficiency

• Monitor data center system uptime and connectivity proactively to ensure continuous system availability and prevent downtime

• Log and submit problem management records and assign issues to the appropriate teams for timely resolution

• Enforce physical security procedures within the data centre to safeguard infrastructure and assets

• Escort personnel safely to and from the data centers at Kim Chuan and Bedok locations

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum Nitec/Highest Nitec/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent

• Good knowledge of Windows Server, UNIX, and AIX operating systems

• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant working experience in a Data Centre environment

• Demonstrate strong initiative and ability to work independently.
