About the role

We're seeking a remarkable Member of Technical Staff to join our team to design a central intelligent trading unit that can trade autonomously for tens of thousands of users. The ideal candidate will combine strong coding capabilities, contextual awareness, and previous experience to build robust experiences that users can rely on.

Responsibilities

  • Contributing perspective to product, harvesting and selecting proper sources to contribute to an educated unit

  • Drive technical and product decisions, collaborating with product and engineers to create gorgeous, responsive, and thoughtful interaction systems

  • Ownership of realizing features as they are ideated

  • You have a strong creative background, backed by proof

  • You take extreme pride in your work, and thrive in meritocratic environments

What we prefer

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or a closely related creative field (or equivalent professional experience)

  • Strong programming skills, to easily integrate and comp within our technical environment

  • Pride themselves on delivering results swiftly, often faster than their peers; we ship extremely fast here, and with that we must all maintain velocity

  • Previous work in design engineering, particularly with AI interfaces

  • Previous work in open-source, but will not be considered negatively if without

  • A trading/Olympiad background, but will not be considered negatively if without

Our interview process

We do not believe in traditional interview processes, and a practical experience is better for us to gauge your experience. Your interview process will be personalized, to the judgment of your interviewer.

For this specific role, we will ask you about an interface you designed that rethought or extended an existing experience, either by expanding what it could do or replacing it entirely.

Work trials are paid generously and we may fly you out to New York City to integrate with the team and the office.

Compensation and benefits

$160,000 – $320,000 USD

Base salary is not only one of our total compensation package at Liquid, which also includes early equity, comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, access to a 401(k) retirement plan, wellness benefits, transportation to-and-from office, and fully compensated lunch and dinner.
