Job Description
At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.
Snowflake is growing and looking for a curious, driven Auditor to join our Internal Audit team. You will report to the Manager, IT Internal Audit and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment to support Snowflake's SOX compliance efforts and internal audit activities. This is an exciting opportunity to build deep expertise in IT auditing and data analytics while contributing meaningfully to strengthening the company's internal control environment. You will be expected to learn quickly, take ownership of your work, and bring creative thinking to complex problems.
AS AN AUDITOR - IT and Data Science, YOU WILL:
Support execution of IT SOX internal controls assessments, IT audits, and investigations under the guidance of senior team members.
Assist in evaluating and testing Information Technology General Controls (ITGCs), automated controls, key reports, and other IT dependencies.
Help develop and update risk and control matrices (RCM), flowcharts, and testing procedures.
Prepare and maintain testing workpapers and support timely completion of audit testing.
Assist in assessing the impact of IT control deficiencies and audit findings, and contribute to identifying remediation procedures and compensating controls.
Participate in risk assessments and support the design of audit programs to address relevant risks.
Assist in all phases of internal audits including planning, fieldwork, close meetings, and reporting.
Actively contribute to automation initiatives — identify opportunities to streamline and automate audit and operational processes, and help build scalable solutions that improve the team's efficiency and effectiveness.
Support the design & development of data analytics routines to assist audit activities from scoping via testing.
Contribute to data extraction, transformation, and processing tasks, and help generate outputs for visualization and analysis.
Apply data analysis tools to assist in automating audit testing and developing techniques for continuous auditing and analyzing large volumes of data.
Interact with business partners and management to identify relevant data sources and data elements required for analytics, applying professional skepticism when validating the completeness & accuracy of data received.
Support Managers and Senior Auditors in maintaining data analytics models and insights leveraging Snowflake's platform to analyze large volumes of data for outliers, anomalies, patterns, and trends.
Research best practices, actively seek opportunities for improvement, and contribute audit observations with a fresh perspective.
OUR IDEAL AUDITOR - IT and Data Science WILL HAVE:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Systems, or a related field.
3+ years of relevant experience in IT SOX, technology or systems auditing, or a related data/analytics function.
Foundational knowledge of IT general controls, auditing techniques, and internal control frameworks.
Strong proficiency in SQL and Python; these are the core technical competencies required for this role.
Experience with or exposure to cloud-based or SaaS environments; certifications such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud are a plus.
Experience at a Big 4 accounting firm or a global public company is preferred.
Strong creative and analytical problem-solving skills — ability to think outside the box, approach ambiguous situations with structure, and develop practical solutions to complex audit challenges.
Eagerness to learn and grow — genuine curiosity and motivation to build expertise in the Internal Audit domain, stay current on evolving standards and technologies, and continuously develop professionally.
Ownership mindset — takes full responsibility for assigned tasks and delivers results with care and thoroughness, not just for the sake of completion, but with a commitment to quality and impact.
Collaborative and adaptable — a strong team player who communicates openly, supports colleagues, and flexibly adjusts to shifting priorities or new challenges in a dynamic environment.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams efficiently under supervision.
Hands-on experience with the Snowflake platform and its product ecosystem is a strong advantage — familiarity with Snowflake's data cloud capabilities, including data storage, transformation, and analytics features, Cortex AI functions, and AI-assisted development and productivity tools, will enable you to contribute more effectively from day one and stay ahead of the curve in a rapidly evolving technology landscape.
This role is based out of our Pune, India office. Candidates must be willing and able to work from the office a minimum of 3 days per week.
Snowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake.
