About the Role
The ads team owns the product surfaces that drive growth for businesses on Whop. As an ads engineer, you will build and maintain the systems that let any business plan, launch, and scale paid campaigns on countless advertising networks — from a single buying flow.
What you'll do
- Build the unified buying flow that powers campaigns on all advertising networks
- Ship campaign management, creative, and reporting surfaces that businesses genuinely enjoy using
- Integrate deeply with ad network APIs — campaigns, ad sets, ads, creatives, identities, pixels, and everything in between
- Design systems that turn opaque platform rejections and policy errors into clear, actionable feedback for creators
What you need
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a software development role
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment with imperfect information
- Curiosity and drive to continuously seek ways to make the product better
- Ability to ship fast, reliable software with a high attention to detail
- Experience with Next.js and modern frontend best practices
- Excellent communication skills
Nice to have
- Startup experience or experience as a technical founder/founding engineer
- Have built SDK components that lived inside other people's products
- Comfortable with financial systems and know how money moves
- You have a designer’s eye and notice when spacing is off or when flows could be simpler
- Experience with Ruby on Rails
