Senior Engineer Manager, Frontend Platform
Job Description
About Us:
Grow Therapy is on a mission to serve as the trusted partner for therapists growing their practice, and patients accessing high-quality care. Powered by technology, we are a three-sided marketplace that empowers providers, augments insurance payors, and serves patients. Following the mass increase in depression and anxiety, the need for accessibility is more important than ever. To make our vision for mental healthcare a reality, we’re building a team of entrepreneurs and mission-driven go-getters. Since launching in February 2021, we’ve empowered more than ten thousand therapists and hundreds of thousands of clients across the country and insurance landscape. We’ve raised more than $178mm of funding from Sequoia Capital, Transformation Capital, TCV, SignalFire, and others.
About the Role
We're looking for a highly product-driven, execution-oriented Engineering Manager to define and own the technical vision for our Frontend Platform. As a key member of the Match Success engineering leadership bench, you'll shape the foundation that powers consumer-grade product experiences at scale.
You'll lead the team that builds and evolves our core design systems, frontend architecture, and developer tooling. This role sits at the intersection of design, product, and engineering, and requires you to balance strategic direction with hands-on technical leadership. Your work will enable every product team to ship high-quality, consistent user interfaces faster, without regressions or reinvention.
You'll also play a forward-looking role in advancing AI-driven developer experiences and ensuring strong performance and compliance across our applications. This is a foundational role in building a world-class product surface and raising the bar for frontend craftsmanship as we scale.
What You'll Do
- Define and own the long-term technical vision for Frontend Platform, including design systems, component libraries, and frontend architecture.
- Lead the build and evolution of core tooling that enables product teams to ship faster with confidence and consistency.
- Drive adoption of platform investments across engineering, ensuring teams can leverage shared infrastructure without friction.
- Advance AI-driven developer experiences, including tooling, documentation, and architectural guardrails that reduce toil and improve quality.
- Own performance and compliance across frontend applications, setting standards and building systems to maintain them at scale.
- Partner deeply with Design and Product to shape our visual identity and strengthen the design-to-engineering feedback loop.
- Develop operational frameworks for planning, prioritization, and delivery excellence across the Frontend Platform team.
- Use data to instrument systems, measure impact, and continuously optimize frontend performance and developer productivity.
- Lead and mentor a high-performance engineering team, raising the bar for technical execution, communication, and problem-solving.
What You Bring
- 6+ years of engineering management, including 3+ years leading product or platform engineering teams.
- Demonstrated strength in platform or product engineering, with a track record of building systems that scale developer productivity and user experience.
- Deep understanding of frontend architecture, design systems, and the developer experience challenges that surface at scale.
- Strong architectural and technical sense: able to define a vision, influence direction, and drive execution across multiple teams.
- Proven ability to deliver complex, ambiguous projects that span multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Highly data-driven mindset, comfortable with experimentation, measurement, and optimization.
- Exceptional communication and cross-functional leadership, including influencing non-technical stakeholders.
- A track record of multiplying talent, mentoring engineers, and creating high-performance environments.
- Founder's mindset: ownership, speed, scrappiness, resilience, and a bias toward action.
- Clear frameworks for technical leadership, force multiplication, and scalable execution.
- Curiosity about emerging technologies, especially AI, and a drive to find new ways to accelerate teams and keep engagement high.
Why This Role Matters
As we scale, maintaining a consistent, high-quality user experience becomes increasingly complex and increasingly important. This role ensures we can move fast without sacrificing quality by building the foundation that every product team relies on.
You'll play a critical role in shaping our product's visual identity, strengthening the partnership between design and engineering, and delivering a consumer-grade experience that sets a new standard for the industry. If you want to build foundational technology that shapes how millions of people experience healthcare, this role is for you.
