Exa is building an API to the world's knowledge. We are one of the only companies that has built a search engine from scratch, and our research lab is bringing cutting-edge information retrieval to the world. We're looking for a Brand Designer with strong visual taste to help shape a vibrant and technical identity.

Designers at Exa have broad creative license, and the freedom to create and lead new initiatives based on your best judgement. We expect a broad set of skills and the ability to create high-quality graphics and supporting assets. If you are a versatile designer who enjoys rapidly iterating on a variety of projects, this might be the right role for you.

We are looking for Brand Designers comfortable in web OR print, so please apply if either of these describes you.

What you will do

• Lead Exa's brand identity and maintain brand guidelines across web, social media, and print.

• Work with marketing on branding initiatives that can extend across various channels.

• Evolve and unify our brand to capture our technical research, vibrant company culture, and clean professionalism.

Example projects

• Design website landing pages that highlight our search capabilities for different industries.

• Create collateral for professional events, like large conferences or workshops.

• Brand Exa’s social events, like ML Research Paper Readings and Project Hail Mary Premiere.

About you

• Proficiency in design tools like Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.

• Strong background in graphic design and brand development.

• Ability to balance a unique visual language with a highly professional tone.

• Motion design, photography, or illustration skills are a plus.

• Great storytelling skill through visuals or writing.

• You thrive in high velocity, high growth, scrappy startup environments
