Job Description

About Us

Legora is on a mission: to redefine how legal work gets done. From the very start we have been very clear about the fact that we are not building a solution for lawyers, we are building it with them, because it is the only way to make sure it gets done the right way; working side-by-side every step of the way.

Our AI-native workspace empowers legal professionals not just to work faster - but to ask better questions, unlock new insights. Every day, we push the boundaries of legal tech to make complex processes smarter, faster, and more human. From thousands of documents analysed in minutes to intelligent workflows designed in collaboration with leading practices, we’re turning possibility into reality.

Today we are trusted by global firms like Cleary Gottlieb, Goodwin, Bird & Bird and Linklaters in over 40 countries, but we have no plans on stopping here. We ship fast, we iterate effectively, and we scale rapidly - not by accident, but by design.

When you join Legora, you become part of a team that believes "good enough" isn’t good enough and that the way to win is together, by empowering lawyers to do their best work with technology that truly understands them. If you’re excited by building from first principles, working with exceptional people, and accelerating change in a high-stakes, high-impact domain—then this is the moment and the place.

We’re not just shaping the future of legal tech — we’re defining it. Ready to join us in building the intelligent future of law?

What you'll do

This is not a recruiting role. You will operate at the intersection of talent, technical team-building, and organisational effectiveness — acting as both a hands-on hiring lead and a strategic partner to Engineering and Product leadership.

Your primary mission is to build Legora's London Engineering hub from the ground up — hiring high-calibre engineers, product managers, and designers, while establishing the systems that enable performance, velocity, and long-term scalability. You will work closely with senior Engineering and Product leaders and founders, trusted to make consequential decisions on hiring, team composition, and people infrastructure.

Specifically, you will

  • Own full-cycle recruitment for Engineering, Product, and Design — building the foundational London team with a high bar on quality, not just speed.

  • Build and maintain proactive, high-quality pipelines for critical technical roles — so we're never starting from zero when a priority opens.

  • Act as a genuine thought partner to Engineering and Product leadership on org design, team structure, and hiring sequencing — translating product and engineering priorities into clear plans and capability gaps.

  • Support the build-out of the London Engineering hub end-to-end, ensuring cohesive, high-performing team formation from day one.

  • Serve as the primary People partner for Engineering and Product in London — supporting performance management frameworks, goal-setting, feedback cycles, and calibration.

  • Help establish the systems that drive engineering velocity, accountability, and continuous improvement — not just process for process's sake.

  • Contribute to compensation, levelling, and progression frameworks for technical roles, ensuring we stay competitive and internally consistent as we scale.

What you bring

You know what great technical talent looks like and how to find it — but you're equally motivated by what happens after the hire. You're organised, commercially sharp, and trusted by senior engineers and founders alike to make consequential decisions on team composition and people infrastructure.

We're looking for

  • 4–7+ years in talent acquisition or People roles, with a strong focus on Engineering, Product, and Design hiring in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

  • A proven track record of hiring high-quality technical talent — you know the signals, you hold the bar, and you don't fill seats just to hit targets.

  • Deep understanding of technical roles and how to assess engineering and product talent effectively — you speak the language and earn credibility quickly.

  • Experience partnering with senior technical stakeholders on hiring strategy, org design, and team build-out — not just executing briefs, but shaping them.

  • The ability to balance hands-on execution with strategic thinking — you can run five searches simultaneously and still see the bigger picture.

  • A track record of building or meaningfully improving scalable hiring or People systems — you leave things better than you found them.

  • Comfortable influencing senior stakeholders with data, market insight, and structured thinking — not just gut feel.

  • Genuinely motivated by building high-performing technical teams and enabling them to do their best work — the hiring is the means, not the end.
