Job Description

Responsibility 1. Market Research & Requirements Analysis · Track industry trends and competitor strategies in cross-border card issuing (e.g., pricing models, benefits design, use case coverage). · Extract key product requirements through user interviews and data mining (e.g., transaction frequency, amount distribution, use scenarios), such as multi-currency accounts, real-time FX conversion, and optimized cross-border fees. 2. Product Design & Feature Development · Assist in designing product prototypes (e.g., virtual/physical card interfaces), drafting PRDs, and defining card issuance flows (e.g., KYC verification, credit limits) and payment architecture (e.g., integration with card schemes like VISA/Mastercard or other financial institutions). · Coordinate with engineering teams to build card system features (e.g., BIN management, transaction risk rules), drive testing and rollout, and ensure compliance with partner banks’ or PSPs’ technical standards. 3. Compliance & Risk Control Support · Ensure card products comply with cross-border payment regulations (e.g., foreign exchange management, AML) and design workflows for compliance (e.g., cross-border spending limits, fund usage tracking). · Monitor suspicious activity (e.g., high-frequency/high-value transactions), and collaborate with the risk team to enhance fraud prevention strategies (e.g., dynamic authentication, transaction blocking rules). 4. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Operational Support · Work with the business team to engage issuing partners (banks/card schemes) and optimize cost structures (e.g., fee sharing models). · Support the operations team in developing go-to-market strategies (e.g., cashback on cross-border purchases, FX fee waivers), analyze user behavior (e.g., activation rates, transaction activity), and propose iterative improvements. 5. Client Support and Training · Participate in the design of cross-border clearing and settlement processes (e.g., multi-currency fund consolidation, faster settlement cycles). · Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies (e.g., FX rate fluctuations causing amount mismatches) in card transactions. Qualifications 1. Educational Background & Core Skills · Education: Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Finance, Economics, or Computer Science. · Tools: Proficient in using AI tools for efficient PRD generation; skilled in Axure/Figma for prototyping; basic SQL and Excel data analysis (e.g., VLOOKUP, PivotTables). · Language: Strong English communication skills (both written and verbal). Ability to read international card scheme documentation and communicate in cross-border project settings. IELTS 6.5+ or equivalent is a plus. 2. Industry Knowledge & Practical Experience · Payments: Understanding of card issuing flows (e.g., BIN application, scheme certification), cross-border payment rails (e.g., SWIFT, VISA Direct), and settlement rules. · Compliance: Familiarity with cross-border capital controls and AML regulatory frameworks. · Data Analysis: Able to identify product issues using transactional data (e.g., chargeback rates, fee costs) and propose improvem 3. Soft Skills & Nice-to-Haves · Communication & Logic: Strong logical thinking and cross-functional coordination (tech, compliance, ops). · Experience: Prior internship or project experience in payments or banking is preferred, especially related to cross-border card issuance. · Heavy user of AI tools. · Passion for innovation in card products and user growth strategies.
